Cub Scout Day Camp

Every year the council has one week of Cub
Scout Day Camp at different locations for different districts. For the past
two years the Great Muskogee District has held their day camp at Cecil Field
in Jacksonville, Fl.

The day camp is a great way to help get the boys started on earning their
new rank. They spend the week working on the following activities:
Archery,
BB Shooting,
Nature,
Fitness,
Games,
Fishing,
Crafts,
and Estimates.
They also go swimming on Thursday,
the Webelos have an overnighter on Thursday night,
and Friday is the pizza party and final awards ceremony.
Also on Friday, each Den puts either puts on a skit or sings a song.

This year Tony was the only Cub from our pack able to attend the camp.
During the week he earned the following belt loops:
Archery
BB Shooting
Fishing
Volleyball
Swimming
Ultimate (frisbee football)
Physical Fitness
Art
and Soccer
He was a part of Bear Den 2 otherwise known as 'The Kodiaks'.

Might as well admit defeat,
Bear Den 2 cannot be beat.
Crafts and Sports we do it all,
Scouting Spirit standing tall

On the last day of camp Tony took in a camera to take photos of his time
there he has been nice enough to let me use them for this page.

Thank you Tony for sharing your wonderful memories with us.
